Hand swaging is balustrading using a hand crimping tool.  We have these available to buy for many different sizes and price ranges.   The tools basically work like a large pair of pliers which clamp down onto the ferrule, securing the wire in place.  This method of swaging is used with any kit which includes a thimble and ferrule.
